Bryce Young says he cannot control his size, but he can control his play
Bryce Young’s biggest knock is his height and weight. The teams that are worried will remove him from their draft board, while the others will keep him right there.
Young will be measured this week at the NFL Scouting Combine and the Alabama gunslinger is supposed to come in around 6’0 and 200 pounds.
Many scouts feel that Young is significantly smaller than 6’0. Young would like to get up to 210 pounds by his pro day. I mean size shouldn’t really matter the guy has thrown 79 touchdowns in his career to just 12 interceptions in two seasons.
“Ive been this size, respectfully, my whole life,” Young said. “I know who I am, and I know what I can do. For me, it’s fair — everyone can speculate and ask whatever questions are necessary. I’m going to continue to control what I can control.”
We will find out shortly how big Young is, but if he comes in around 5’10 will that hurt his stock?
