Austin Ekeler demands a trade from the Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers and Austin Ekeler could not come to an agreement on a new contract and now their star running back wants out.
According to Adam Schefter, the Chargers star running back has demanded to be traded. Ekeler was second in the NFL last year in Rushing Touchdowns and if he is in fact traded, that would be a crazy situation.
The 27-year-old pro, undrafted out of Western Colorado, powered the Chargers’ 30th-ranked rushing offense nearly singlehandedly in 2022. He ran for 915 yards and 13 touchdowns while contributing 722 receiving yards and a team-leading five TD catches.
Ekeler will be an interesting prospect to keep an eye on this week.
