Texas High School football player Zion Lampley shot and killed outside a shopping center

A 16-year-old football player from Harris County, Texas was shot and killed after talking to a person in a gray car over the weekend.
Police are looking for the shooter, and they do in fact have surveillance video of the shooting. The shooting happened outside a shopping center on Imperial Valley Drive. The Young football player was meeting someone at a store in the strip mall when he was shot and killed.
The shooting happened in the middle of the afternoon — around 3:15 p.m. — at 22944 Imperial Valley Drive, deputies said.
According to police, Lampley was talking with someone in a Volkswagen Passat and is leaning in the drivers side interacting with the people inside the vehicle before the car starts to drive away.
Lampley looks to try to hold onto the vehicle trying to prevent it from leaving when he is shot and falls to the ground. He gets up and runs across the street before he collapsed. Police found him in that spot where he collapsed deceased.
