Potential NFL Prospects from the HBCU in the 2024 NFL Draft

Pittman’s Pocket and NFL DRAFT DIAMONDS our composing a list of 150 potential HBCU Prospects for the upcoming 2024 season.
I wanted to start off with 20 potential prospects who have stood out in their conference, and been performing well. We give homage to the great coaches of the HBCU!
- Isaiah Major, LB, FAMU – A 6’1″ 225 lbs. standout linebacker from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Major transferred from Independence Community College
- Jeremy Moussa, QB, FAMU – The 6’3″ 225-pound quarterback is a Grad Student from Chino Hills, California, and was formerly at Vanderbilt
- Kamari Stephens, DL, FAMU – The star Defensive Line stands at 6’3″ 270 lbs. and has a nose for the ball. The former Jacksonville, Florida native is a big-boy prospect
- Jeremiah Pruitte, TE, FAMU – Pruitte was a transfer from Colorado State who has great size at 6’5, 230 lbs. and is a native of Atlanta, Georgia
- Koby Gross, TE, FAMU – Koby Gross the 6’2, 238 pound is a standout who transferred from Florida State.
- Jerodd Sims, RB, Southern – The 6’0, 215 lbs running back from Pine Prairie High School in Louisiana is a player to keep an eye on.
- Trey Laing, DE, Southern – The former East Mississippi Junior College standout has a solid frame at 6’3″ and 224 lbs. The Tallahassee, Florida product is a player to watch.
- Eli Fields, OL, Prairie View A&M – Fields is a massive man standing at 6’6, and weighing over 315 lbs. The New Jersey native played at FAU and is a player to watch.
- Caleb Johnson, RB, Prairie View A&M – Bubba McDowell found himself a sleeper in CJ. The 5’10, 220-pound back from Memphis, Tennessee can make a defense pay.
- Calvin Pressley, DL, Prairie View A&M – The 6’4, 285-pound senior from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania can be an impact player for the Panthers. He transferred from Villanova.
- Sundiata Anderson, DE, Grambling State – The 6’5, 240-pound pass rusher is one of the best HBCU prospects in the Country. The Georgia native is a player to watch.
- Donald Johnson III, WR, Grambling State – Donald Johnson III is a speedy wide receiver who stands 5’9, 180 pounds with great hands and ball skills.
- Bryan Powell, DL, Grambling State – Hue Jackson has found a diamond in the 6’2, 230-pound pass rusher from ASA College.
- Jimmy Iles, P, Grambling State – The 6’0″ 205-pound Aussie punter has a monster leg.
- Lewis Mathews, LB, Grambling State – The Gritty 5’11 220-pound backer is a thumper in the middle of the field.
- Kenny Gallop, DB, Howard University – Gallop is a big boy with great size for a cornerback. The 6’1″ 210-pound corner is a player to keep an eye on.
- Quinton Williams, QB, Howard University – A 6’5 gunslinger that weighs 200 lbs is a big-time prospect. I love the Upper Marlboro prospect. He is a bright quarterback.
- Kasey Hawthorne, WR, Howard University – A big-time wide receiver prospect from Sebring, Florida is a player to watch for the Bison.
- Marcus Brown, DL, Howard University – The tenacious edge rusher from Houston Texas has NFL size at 6’5″ and 245 lbs.
- Seth Hawkins and Anim Dankwah, OL, Howard University – Quinton Williams has to love standing behind these massive blockers. Hawkins stands at 6’3″ and 292 lbs, while Dankwah is a 6’8, 365-pound mammoth. These guys are serious in the trenches.
