Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin released a video yesterday on social media announcing that he partnered with American Heart Association to help teach CPR to everyone which ultimately saved his life.

Hamlin released a video on his social media accounts announcing 3 for Heart, a social media campaign to encourage people using three steps that could save a life.

“As you know, CPR saved my life earlier this year on the field, and CPR could easily save your life or someone you love,” Hamlin shared in the video, breaking down the three steps to bring this initiative to light.

Here are the three steps:

  1. He encouraged viewers to learn hands-only CPR.
  2. He promoted donations to the American Heart Association to continue highlighting CPR training and education
  3. He challenged viewers to tag three people to follow suit and spread the word on the “3 for Heart” campaign.

Hamlin challenged some big names, he challenged Michelle Obama, Lebron James and Tom Brady.
