Are Caleb Williams and Drake Maye better than any QB in the 2023 NFL Draft?
There are going to be teams in the 2023 NFL Draft that are going to risk it all to take a quarterback they may not be completely sold on. Teams with a need a quarterback may struggle to find a gem, but several NFL executives feel if you wait a year, you will find a better prospect.
One NFL Executive told Albert Breer; the two guys next year would be the top two guys in this year’s class. He was speaking about Caleb Williams from USC and Drake Maye from UNC.
Do you agree they are better prospects than CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, Will Levis, Hendon Hooker and Anthony Richardson?
Both Maye and Williams are very good prospects, just look at what they did last year.
- Drake Maye: 45 total touchdowns, 5,019 yards of offense.
- Caleb Williams: 52 total touchdowns, 4,919 total yards of offense.
I think Bryce Young will likely be the first overall pick, but is he truly worth it? The Bears could end up keeping Justin Fields, and then try to trade up next year to land Maye or Williams. It will be interesting to see.
