Former Liberty star linebacker and NFL player dead at 25

Jessie Lemonier is dead at 25 years old. Lemonier went undrafted out of Liberty University in 2020.

Jessie would be signed by the Chargers as a undrafted free agent and played six games.

Jessie would end up signing with the Lions and playing for 7 games the year after. He was extremely talented.

Last year the Flames former linebacker spent time on the Arizona Cardinals roster in training camp last year.

Lemonier was drafted by the XFL but chose to sign with the USFL instead.

The Detroit Lions released this statement:

“We are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of former Detroit Lion Jessie Lemonier,” the Lions said in a statement. “Jessie was a model teammate and wonderful young man who is gone far too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
