Former 5-star Quarterback Sam Huard is headed to the FCS to play at Cal-Poly
Sam Huard the son of former University of Washington star Damon Huard is transferring to the FCS!
According to his social media, Sam Huard the former 5-star recruit is headed to the FCS to play for Cal-Poly. Huard was considered the top prospect in the country in 2021, so for him to be in the FCS just two years later may sound like a downgrade, but I think he could be pretty successful.
Huard is going to Cal Poly because his former coach at Kennedy Catholic High School in Washington is the offensive coordinator. Sheldon Cross helped develop Huard and will get to work with him again.
Huard has three years remaining and will likely become one of the top quarterbacks at the FCS level in a few years. He is a very talented player; this will help his stock out because he will be able to get on the field. That is the key for him.
