What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Honestly I think it was a calling from God because I wasn’t influenced in any way to play football. I just woke up one morning when I was 7 and told my parents I wanted to play football.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I look forward on being an impact player for a NFL team/organization.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I have actually had the opportunity to meet with Ronnie Lott 2 years ago over lunch. He put me on a lot of game and knowledge. But a current player I will like to learn from personally is Budda Baker, I like his game a lot.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments are just all the bonds and relationships I made over the years. I will cherish those forever.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My parents inspire me the most. They have both made many sacrifices for me to be in this position. So it’s my job to hold myself accountable and continue to make them proud.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

3 deep 2 under fire zone blitz. At Western Michigan we were a very successful defense especially on 3rd like top 5 in country. In fire zones I was very versatile. I was playing different position in our defense. I was able to blitz and cover.

What should we know about Delano Ware the person?

I’m a God fearing man. I feel that I am a diamond in a rough that is going to shock a lot of people. I’m coachable and in my opinion it’s hard to find a player who you can categorize me with (I’m versatile) I feel that I play the game in an old school way. Not too many players are as physical as me in this draft. I am the safety that will draw attention once I step on any field.

What stands out about your film the most?

Me on film shows I’m explosive, everywhere where the ball is, physical, versatile. I’m going to make a game changing play.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Responsibly with a high standard. When challenges appeared during the season, me being a leader I took them head on and handled them because I have the rest of the team that depended on me to do my job. In life I treat them the same way. I have a family that loves and support me. I will do anything to provide and support my family. Going the right way with pure intentions.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A relentless worker. A player who is a stand up guy on and off the field. A child of God.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the competition. I love how free I can be when playing this sport. It feels so comforting knowing God has given me the ability.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I with is Zaire Barnes and Bricen Garner. Those guys are ballers. Loved playing with those guys.
