Greene Central High School football player Jah’Tayvious Edwards was killed in a car accident in Snow Hill, North Carolina.

Jah’Tayvious Edwards was a student who ran track and played football for the Rams. He was an outside linebacker and strong safety set to graduate this year.

His coach posted this on Facebook:

Head Football Coach Jay Wilson said Edwards was “always laughing and joking and overcame a lot just to be able to play football.” He goes on to say that Edwards “had his kidney removed halfway through his junior year and worked hard to return for his senior year.” Wilson adds that he believes the crash happened somewhere near Ayden. We are working to obtain a more precise location.

Please keep his family, friends and teammates in your prayers.
