What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
I grew up wanting to be a basketball player but once I started playing football it felt natural. Football is the predominant sport played in my family. It’s almost as if it’s in my blood.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to be dominant at the next level. I want to be a guy that gets 10+ sacks.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
I would pick Charles Haley. He’s an all-time great pass rusher and kind of set the prototype for the edge rushers that you see today. I would love to pick his brain.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
I would have to say my Aunt. She was always the breadwinner of the family. Even though she had a job, she had rental properties and various investments. It seemed as if every time I looked up she was taking a vacation. That’s how I saw myself living.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
I would say the one that sticks out the most is when I got my first collegiate sack. I had put in so much work to get to that point and it was one of the most rewarding feelings.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
4-3 or 4-2-5. It gives your defensive line the freedom to be aggressive and get after the quarterback.
What should we know about Juice Williams the person?
I’m a very cool guy. I consider myself to be very personable. In my spare time I love watching movies and playing video games.
What stands out the most about your film?
My get off and just my overall length.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Two years ago I started practicing meditation. It helped a lot with emotional regulation and relieving stress. I feel like this has allowed me to just roll with the punches.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A guy who plays with a lot of effort, passion, and swag. Someone who wants to learn and be a student of the game. Someone who wants to be coached hard and held accountable.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The camaraderie and the brotherhood. Those moments in the locker room before and after practice are priceless.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
That’s a tough question because I played with a lot of great guys. I would have to say Ray Buford. A guy that was 6’2 at the CB position and could move very well. I feel like he was one of those guys that didn’t get a fair shot due to COVID.
