New York Giants star defender Xavier McKinney was injured in an ATV accident in Mexico on their bye week | Will miss several weeks with a hand injury
New York Giants starting safety Xavier McKinney will miss several weeks after injuring his hand in an ATV accident in Mexico.
The starting safety decided to go to Mexico on his bye week to enjoy his time away from the game, and he reportedly wen on an ATV experience, that did not end the way he intended it would.
McKinney posted on his Twitter account on Monday that he “had an accident and injured my hand” during a guided sight-seeing tour on ATVs in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. McKinney reported “the injury will keep me sidelined for a few weeks.”
McKinney broke a bone in his hand and will be placed on the NFI list so he will not be eligible to return to week 14.
The 23-year-old star has not missed a snap on defense this year, so this is a big blow to their secondary.
