Jacobi Meyers says Mac Jones getting benched is an “Ugly Situation” for the Patriots
The Patriots lost last night to the Chicago Bears which I do not think anyone thought would happen, and it was an ugly situation, but Jacobi Meyers feels that benching Mac Jones hurts.
“Not even as a football player, it’s tough as a man to see somebody who worked so hard, get that kind of treatment, but at the end of the day, we’re all trying to feed our families,” Meyers said. “We gotta go out there and make plays with whoever throwing it.”
“Not even the coaches, just everybody. The crowd, all of it. It was an ugly situation, in my opinion,” Meyers said.
It was rough, after Mac Jones went three and out on the first two drives, the fans became restless. The fans in New England have been groomed to winning, and when they are not winning they want answers. I mean that is what happens when you have Tom Brady for twenty years.
Here is what Jacobi said.
Could Mac Jones demand a trade? The Patriots did the right thing, Zappe came in and began to ball out getting them in scoring situations. He was airing it out. The Fans were going nuts, but then the play calling became very vanilla. I am wondering if the Patriots staff realized that they have a lot invested in Mac Jones and began slowing it down on purpose, because Zappe’s performance looked rough in the second half after he come out the gate terrorizing the Bears.
