Player Summary:
RSR. Missed time in half of 2020 and all of 2019 with injuries. Good height/poor weight combo. Slender and slim frame. Great athletic ability. He is a twitchy and deft athlete. He has great play speed, twitch, explosion, and agility. He shows great competitive nature as he falls forward, fights for yards, and fights to stay upright. That being said, he shows great contact balance with his desire to stay upright. He shows average toughness and instincts. His speed abilities are great. He shows great initial quickness and foot quickness. He is nimble with his feet and cuts well with them. He is dangerous in one-on-one situations with his great cutting ability. He displays good elusiveness with the great quickness and twitch in his repertoire. He shows great burst and is dangerous on the outside. As a runner, he is sufficient. His balance, quickness, and speed qualities add up to his great outside run ability. He shows great ability to break tackles on outside runs. In the compact spaces, he struggles to find escape and is more than happy to settle. His inside running is average with sufficient ball carrier vision as he can struggle to find a gap. His play strength quality is exposed on these inside runs. In the pass game, he is a dangerous receiver and so-so at pass protection. His speed, balance, agility funnel into his great route running and separation abilities. His route running is tight and precise. He runs the wheel and out route very well. He gets good separation on those routes. He is great catching swing routes out of the backfield and rips off plenty of positive plays as a passing back. He has great hands as well and rarely drops the ball. His catch radius limits his hands in the pass game but he is not schemed or asked to make contested catches. His pass protection is sufficient and holds his own with his effort and toughness. His blitz pick-up ability is subpar. He misses rushing linebackers and struggles to react and recognize the LB blitzes he is asked to deal with. With his pass protection abilities, it puts the offensive scheming of him in a bind. His presence on the field is a tell to the team’s play calling given his pass protection ability.
Scheme Fit:
Can fit into any offense even with his deficiencies.
Power Statement:
Quick and twitchy RB with good outside running and good receiving qualities. Average inside runner and average pass blocker.
