Player Summary:

Cam’Ron is a three year starter at SAM for COST in their 4-2-5 defense. He has poor height and weight with good arm length. Shows solid AA. He’s a twitchy player with average speed and good agility. Moves well laterally and makes plays sideline to sideline. Navigates well through trash and does an adequate job getting off blocks using good strength and length. Has a really high motor, plays really hard. Not afraid of contact and getting dirty. Against the run, he comes downhill really hard. Fills the lane hard and fast, and can blow plays up in the backfield. Average eyes/vision. Sometimes misreads the play and puts himself in a bad position. Good tackler. Against the pass, he does an above-average job in man coverage. Does a good job staying on the receivers’ hip. Gets lost in space a little bit in zone coverage. Doesn’t have great eyes and sometimes misses receivers coming into his zone.

Scheme Fit

Could play either SAM or MIKE. Probably best fits as a MIKE due to slightly below average coverage skills.

Power Statement

Cam’Ron is a twitchy player with adequate speed and agility to make plays in the run game. Gets lost sometimes while in coverage.
