Saints safety Marcus Maye was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
Marcus Maye was arrested on Thursday for aggravated assault with a firearm. This is not the first time that Maye has been in trouble with the law. The Saints safety was arrested when he played for the Jets last year for a DUI.
Marcus Maye faced charges from a DUI arrest and car crash that occurred last year in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to Broward County court records.
The arrest, which had not been previously reported by the media, subjects Maye to the NFL‘s personal-conduct policy — meaning it could result in a suspension.
The former second round pick of the Jets back in 2017 racked up 46 tackles, one sack and two PBU’s last season. The Saints signed Maye to a three year deal worth 28.5 million in March.
