Mac Jones injured ankle is much worse than expected | It is a severe high ankle sprain
Mac Jones may not play this week and may be out for several weeks. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Patriots quarterback suffered a severe high ankle sprain in the Sunday loss to the Ravens, but it is worse than expected.
Jones won’t need surgery but it would be very hard to imagine him playing against the Packers next week.
Jones was hit by Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell as he threw a pass late in New England’s 37-26 loss. His left leg bent awkwardly underneath him, and he was unable to put any pressure on it as he hobbled off the field.
