Six Angelo State football players have been arrested for beating a man and robbing him

Police have arrested six Angelo State University football players who they believe were direcetly involved in an on-campus robbery.
D’Koreion Hammond, Kameren Kirkwood, Roy Morris, Brenton Frizell, Stilton McKelvey, and Michael Murphy were directly involved in an on-campus robbery on Monday, August 26, 2022.
A Police affidavit says video footage provided by one of the defendants shows Hammond, Morris, and Frizell assaulting a man by “striking him in the head and upper torso with their closed fists and feet.”
The provided footage and additional surveillance video also show several of the men in possession of the victim’s belongings.
The six men were arrested several days before they were supposed to play against Chadron State in Nebraska.
All six players have been suspended by the school at this time.
