123 Former FCS football players made NFL active rosters in 2022
The NFL is made up of tons of prospects from tons of schools, but the FCS has continued to place players in the NFL over the years.
According to Stan Beckton of NCAA.com, 123 former FCS football players made an NFL active rosters in 2022 surviving roster cuts.
The Broncos, Buccaneers, Rams and 49ers lead the NFL with 7 FCS players a piece on their roster.

According to the breakdown, North Dakota State leads all FCS programs with 9 players in the NFL. That is a healthy amount of players, with South Carolina State, Delaware and Montana State trailing with 5 each.
The MVFC has the most players in the NFL with 27 with the next closest conference being the CAA with 19.
Another cool stat is defensive backs are the most kept FCS players on NFL rosters. There are 24 defensive backs who made NFL rosters from the FCS this year including both safeties and cornerbacks, with fullbacks, kickers and punters struggling. There are only 1 of each on the rosters.
