Chiefs are incentivizing JuJu Smith-Schuster’s contract in which he can make an additional $510k
The Chiefs want to win and to do that they will need their wide receivers to step up. The one receiver they will need to give them a huge boost is Juju Smith-Schuster.
The Chiefs agreed to an amended contract for WR JuJu Smith-Schuster that increases his per-game roster bonus from $30K to $60K, per Field Yates.
Smith-Schuster can now earn an extra $510K via per-game bonuses this year. Nice touch by the Chiefs to give him a chance for more upside.
In total, Smith-Schuster will have the opportunity to make over $500,000 more than previously agreed by simply appearing in a full slate of games.
If JuJu can stay healthy he could be in line to make a ton of money next year. He is only making 3.7 million this year, so the Chiefs are getting him at a very cheap rate.
