Glenville State standout football player has been charged with Extortion

Seth Arnold a 22-year-old football player at Glenville State University in West Virginia was charged after he reportedly threatened to distribute sexually explicit photos of a woman.

Back in May a female victim met with Troopers telling them that Arnold threatened to distribute her photos, if she did not answer questions and do what he wanted.

This incident reportedly happened back in October of 2021, but she came forth. Arnold is a linebacker for the Glenville football team, and his attorney released a statement saying his client is innocent.

Seth Arnold is innocent of the crime charged. I’m confident this charge will be dismissed once all the facts are known to the Prosecuting Attorney. Mr. Arnold was never afforded any opportunity to address the accuser’s allegations prior to his arrest, which is highly unusual. A domestic dispute motivated this allegation. In domestic disputes, emotions often run hot, and criminal accusations are made in order to achieve an advantage in civil matters. And it’s been my experience that attempts to sully the reputation of good people generally backfire. Ultimately, truth prevails.

Arnold is a standout linebacker for the team, who stands at 5’10 and weighs 220 pounds. The Burnsville, WV native racked up 89 tackles, finished with 11.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He is a very good football player. In all criminal cases the person is considered innocent until proven guilty.
