Tennessee High School football player’s heart stops for twenty minutes, BUT GOD!

If you are looking for a feel good story, I have one for you, and it happened this past weekend in Tennessee. Just remember when things are not going your way your God is always on Time….BUT GOD!

Blake Rodehaver a high school football player for Greenfield High School was participating in a game against South Fulton with just two minutes left in the game, when he came off the sideline.

The standout football player told the coach he did not feel good and moment later he was on the ground, with his heart completely stopped.

Many fans from the crowd came rushing in and began CPR on the high school student. The entire stadium and started praying on BOTH Sides!!

“The entire stadium stopped and started praying on both sides for those people working on him, and we have no words,” Shonda, Blake’s Mother said.

Senior quarterback and leader of the football team Matt Scates had the best quote about the situation.

“Once we saw everybody rush in, we knew exactly where we had to go, and that was to God.”

Blake actually played the previous year for Fulton High School, so all the parents and kids on both teams knew Blake. They began praying for that miracle and BOY DID THEY GET ONE!!!

When they lifted Blake into the Ambulance and continued to work on him, his father Jason who was in the Ambulance with him would give them all a thumbs up to let them know he has a pulse and is breathing!!!

Jason believes the collective prayer at the stadium that night played a role in saving his son’s life.

I am not here to push the Lord and Savior on you, but I am here to tell you that this was in fact the power of prayer. Jason and Shonda, you have a story that you need to tell for the rest of your life! Blake you are a walking testimony. This family and city and both schools should be extremely proud of themselves. You turned to the right one. Jesus does not make mistakes.

I rarely talk about the Lord on my site, but if you look at my background you will see I am a huge believer in Jesus! I love to write a good story for once.
