Former Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins says Aaron Rodgers is on another level compared to Patrick Mahomes

Sammy Watkins has not had the career everyone thought he would as a wide receiver in the NFL. A matter of fact, he has spent a ton of time on the bench with injuries.

While he was drafted very early by the Buffalo Bills, Watkins still has flashed throughout his career and if he could stay healthy could be a great wide out. Well, in a video posted on the Packers official website, Larry McCarren interviewed the former Clemson wide out who is entering his first season with the Packers after spending time with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs from 2018-2020.

McCarren said Randall Cobb asked Watkins “Mahomes or Rodgers” and the answer was surprising.

Watkins apparently answered, “I think Pat is incredibly good, but A-Rod is on a whole ‘nother level.”

Watkins continued to say “he’s amazing. How he controls the ball. How he put (sic) everybody in place. I’ve been with a lot of quarterbacks, and I never seen them carry theyself (sic) like Aaron Rodgers.”

What do you think? Is Aaron Rodgers a lot better than Patrick Mahomes? I mean both are very good quarterbacks but a whole “nother level” sounds like Mahomes could not hold Rodgers jock.

Rodgers is getting up there in age at 38, but has won consecutive MVP awards and is getting better with age. If Watkins and the rookies in Green Bay can help out the old man at quarterback the Packers could be a problem in 2022.
