High School football player Aaron Crawford died trying to help flood victims in Kentucky
Aaron Crawford was a football player and wrestler for Knott County Central High School in Kentucky. He loved superheroes and today we want to recognize him as one.
Unfortunately, Aaron died just days after helping flood victims in his community. The Governor Andy Beshear announced that Aaron was the 38th victim of the flooding in Eastern Kentucky.
Crawford was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, where he was placed on a ventilator for four days before he died Friday.
Crawford was working trying to help anyone who was suffering from the flood and days later he would die. Officials do not know the cause of death at this point, and they will likely never know.
Crawford was 18 years old, but his family decided to donate his organs rather than performing an autopsy.
Aaron Crawford was a superhero, not all heroes wear capes! His family should be extremely proud of him, because he was a selfless person who wanted to help others.
