What made you decide you wanted to be an offensive lineman?
Kinda just happened that way once I got to high school and transitioned from tight end to offensive line it was a pretty seamless transition for me it felt natural.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Just all the teammates I’ve gotten to meet and make memories with I’ve been apart of some great teams I’ll carry those memories with me forever.
What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?
Experience and a sense of reliability out there.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Trent Williams, would love to pick his brain learn from him and ask any pointers of what makes him special on and off the field. He’s not only a great ball player but he makes amazing moves off the field.
Which family member inspires you the most and why?
My whole family, from my mother and father to my sisters and brothers and nephews and nieces. I’m inspired by them because I want to be a positive light in their lives and want to be able to continue to make them proud in all that I do.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
I like the spread offense I think there’s so much you can do out of it. It’s not just throwing the ball but you can balance a good running game out of 10 and 11 personnel as well.
What should we know about Willis Patrick the person?
Always there for anyone who needs me. I’m more than just a football player and I feel as athletes we should always find what makes us happy outside of the sport we play.
What is a moment that improved you as a football player?
I try to improve everyday working on the little things that can help improve my game wether it’s film or on the field.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I try and face them head on and know that, it’s all about how you respond to things. Hard times build character and it can help shape you for the better it’s all about perspective.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Someone who is hungry to get better everyday in every aspect, from on the field to the film room to in the community.
What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?
Winning first and foremost. Playing for a an all time great like Coach Prime challenges me to strive everyday to be the best I can be cause he sets that example. As a team we are looking to dominate every opponent and that is my same goal individually dominate whatever is in front of me each week and all of my goals will fall in line.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
I’ve played with alot but I’ll go with one of recent memory and that’s Tre Colbert he’s a freak of nature at his size coupled with his athleticism he didn’t gain as much notoriety as he deserved he’s gonna take a big jump this year and gain a lot more attention. I think he’s one of the best defensive tackles on any level of college ball.
