What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Growing up I use to always watch the Cowboys and highlights of Emmitt Smith and when I actually started to do it I was a natural and brought the ball to the house.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My first collegiate touchdown at SMU which was a 50 yarder it was a fun experience.
What sets you apart from other running backs?
My ability to be a pass protector and catch the ball and get the tough yards if you need me too.
What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?
Every time I touch the ball it’s electric and loose when I go and get the tough yards every play.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who?
It would be Emmitt Smith.
What are your favorite things about playing football for North Dakota State?
Mostly the fan base it’s different than any other fan base I’ve seen. For them to travel down from North Dakota to Texas and seeing green and gold it was surreal.
What should we know about TaMerik Williams the person?
Very unselfish I always like to give back to the community and every time North Dakota State has an opportunity to give back to the community I sign up. Also I’m a God fearing man and I love to take care of my mind.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
I love just being in the power I, I love it and think it suits my strengths and I really gel with it.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I always remind myself to have a short memory. Any time I have a bad play I just move on and go forward and in life I like to step back and collect my thoughts and move forward and stay positive.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Not only a phenomenal player but a phenomenal teammate and I put the team first over individual accolades.
What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?
Mostly just being around the comradery with my teammates and enjoying the small moments like the wins and growing as a player.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
James Proche, because I just think as a receiver he’s everything you wanted and he has a big heart and even though he went in the 6th I feel like he should’ve gone higher with his productivity. And Xavier Jones he was a RB at SMU and set the new single season touchdown record that was previously held by Eric Dickerson.
