What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I kind of always played it growing up but I played 3 sports so it really didn’t stick but when I got interest as a sophomore and I got my first offer as a junior. I knew what I wanted to do.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I try to bring a dominant energy, I believe the best way to play is practice it, so I try to encourage intensity every play with my energy and my teammates elevate it!

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

That player would have to be Ray Lewis, they say energy is infectious and that’s just a plus on the way he learned and attacked the game. I think he has a lot to offer on and off the field.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My Mom, she taught me so many lessons that has allowed me to come this far, her hard work inspired me to want to be better for myself. While staying humble in our upbringing she never allowed us to stray or boast just give glory!

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I would say my top 5 moments are:

1.Making my 8th grade all star game, it’s where the craving to be the best on the field begun.

2. The 2011 BCS national championship game Oregon vs. Auburn I stayed up till 12 to watch the game and that’s when I fell in love with college football.

3. My first offer, it changed my life.

4. Friday Night Lights

5. My first bayou classic.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Grambling State?

For starters I would say the comradeship, I’ve met teammates and people that i will forever have a relationship. Then being able to play for such a historic program, it drives me to want to follow and leave my name in the history books. Lastly I would say being able to play in the games that I’ve played in and the places it has taken me.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

The 4-2-5 because it allows me to use my ability to its highest potential, and it challenges me to know what everyone on the field is doing.

What should we know about Sundiata Anderson the person?

I think everyone should know that I’m one of the hardest working people persons and at the end of the day it’s about doing my job, taking responsibility, and accountable.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I try to look at the brighter pictures in all situations, every body has their own battles, some a little harder than others so I just try to run my own race and see the light through the darkness.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A teammate dedicated to winning, doing my job, accountability, and problem solving, every situation has a solution and way out and I’m going to find it.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Just to build on last year and dominate, I wanna be able to go out there and show what was poured into me this offseason and have fun while it’s still fun.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

I would say the most underrated player I have played with is Quincy Mitchell, our safety, he has a focus on the game and knowledge that rivals pro type but he had a harder route to play the position which is the reason he kind of has to fight from behind to be seen.
