What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

So my mom and me moved when I was 9 and my older cousin started playing football and then I wanted to play football. And being in Georgia football was a big thing and all my friends were playing it so I joined the local youth team.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

It would be when I was at Sam Houston State and won a championship and freshman year at Maine when I was playing Weber State and scored a touchdown late in the game but I ended up getting yelled at because I spun the ball.

What sets you apart from other running backs?

I feel like as a running back you got to be fast and strong, but my ability to block and find holes those are the 2 things that set me apart. I really started working on my pass blocking when I got into college.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

Honestly I’m kinda quiet, but as a player I’m a personal guy and go one on one to people to get them confidence.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Marshawn Lynch because obviously he was a great player but he also had a great personality off the field and that’s why I would hang out with him.

What are you looking to improve as a football player?

I feel like you can always improve pass blocking and developing more pass catching and overall speed.

What should we know about Ramon Jefferson the person?

I’m a funny person and I like to watch Rush Hour movies and growing up I did martial arts from 5-14 and I used to play basketball as a point guard I played for a couple seasons until 9th grade. I also know how to play the saxophone.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

Power, because I like the way the play develops while it happens and I feel like you can bounce inside or outside in power so that’s why power is my favorite offensive scheme.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Religion wise I’m a Christian so I always pray and talk to friends and family and I usually like keeping myself busy so you don’t think about it.

What would a team get in a player like you?

I’m somebody that has goals in mind and I’m goal oriented and I’m a player who takes care of his body and lifts up people around him and a hard worker.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Obviously when I entered the portal I was looking to play at the highest level and Kentucky plays in the SEC which is the highest level at the collegiate level. So I’m looking to learn from my coaches and develop more and show what I can do and contribute.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Noah Smith, from Sam Houston State, plays running back but they moved him from wide receiver to running back and he put on weight and was making big plays.
