Kyler Murray feels disrespected by people questioning whether or not he is a student of the game

Yesterday, an article came out from ESPN claiming that Kyler Murray was self-centered, immature, and a person who points fingers.
Is Kyler Murray a student of the game? He is pissed that people are questioning whether o not he watches enough film, but he better be watching film now, he is making more than Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

News came out that Kyler Murray has to engage in at least four hours a week in “Independent Study” and many people blew this out of proportion.

There were media outlets who were questioning whether or not Kyler put in enough time studying, but it was a clause wrote in the Cardinals new contract with Murray.

Murray feels disrespected by people questioning his work ethic.

“To think that I can accomplish everything in my career and not be a student of the game . . . it’s disrespectful. It’s almost a joke,” Murray said, via Kevin Zimmerman of ArizonaSports.com.

Darren Urban of the team’s website added that Murray declined to answer a question about whether he’s mad at the team for making that clause part of the contract offer.

If you remember he said he was not going to be one of those guys that kills himself watching film last year, and then the Cardinals put it as a clause in his contract. I mean usually where there is smoke, there’s fire.

I mean at the end of the day, he is going to have a lot of critics if he is not performing. He is getting paid more than Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, critics should be welcome!

What do you think? Is Murray a student of the game?
