What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

After scoring my first touchdown in Pee Wee. After that, I knew I wanted to play football for as long as I could.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I have a lot of good moments. With that being said, my most memorable moment from my college career is against Glenville State. I forced the fumble on the RB and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown. This set the school’s record with the longest defensive touchdown at Wheeling University.

What sets you apart from other defensive backs?

My versatility. I can play safety, nickel back and cornerback all at a high level. Also, my physicality for my size sets me apart because I am more physical than majority of all players that are bigger than me. Furthermore, I have a natural instinct to put find myself around the football.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring a dominating energy to the field. I try my best to dominate who ever is on the other side of the ball at all times.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Deion Sanders because I like the energy he has. Coach Sanders is very confident and also he’s the best to ever play defensive back in my opinion. It would be nice to chill with him.

How do you prepare for games?

I watch a lot of film to learn my opponents tendencies. In return, this helps me be more comfortable and confident on game day. In college, I had to write reports on the top receiver each week, which definitely helped out on saturdays.

What should we know about Jermichael Isom the person?

First off, that I am a cool laid back person who is very passionate about football and winning. Secondly, I have a dog mentality that shows for itself on film. Third, I like to travel and visit different places. Lastly, I am God fearing man and a very family oriented person.

What is your favorite coverage and why?

I like man coverage because it gives me a chance to be physical.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I just try to keep pushing through whatever adversity I am facing and control what I can control in all situations.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone who is going to bring leadership, consistency, swag, grit, and a dog mentality to work everyday. Also a very passionate, easy to coach player who catches on to things quick.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to winning the PSAC and having a shot a the National Championship, and having an All American season this year with my new school California University of PA.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Josiah Wright he played nickel at Wheeling University with me, and he is one of the most hard working, physical, and intelligent defensive backs I have ever gotten the chance to play with. He should’ve been an All American last year with the stats he put up. But everything happens for a reason, he’s going to have a huge impact this season at his new school Gardner Webb.
