I absolutely love the game of football.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

Childhood Hunger

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Control what you can control. “Don’t worry about criticism from someone who you wouldn’t ask advice from.”

Who was your childhood hero?

Tom Brady

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

De’Jante Granger. The best DII guard in the nation.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Bad Internet

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

The hardest moment in my life that I have had to overcome was my first semester in college. Moving 7 hours away from my hometown to a new state and knowing nobody. The process from being the captain of my high school team, to the bottom of the barrel on my college team was very challenging mentally and because of how my recruitment process went, it was very difficult to overcome. I was recruited being told one thing, then once I was on campus, it was the complete opposite. Then add to the fact that freshmen had 6 am workouts every day and it was the first time being away from family, it was challenging for a 19-year-old who was in a completely new environment. Overcoming that 5-month period is something I am proud of and think it really toughened me up to eventually become the person that I am today.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

It is special to me because I met my wife while at school. It also has a real family atmosphere that is rare.

What is your favorite snack food?

Spitz pickle sunflower seed and a blue Powerade.

What is the best part of football?

The best thing about football is that it is the ultimate team sport. There is no other sport that can unite a group of men from different types of backgrounds and cultures like football does.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence, what would you say?

I am a true student of the game that wants the best for the team, I love my teammates, and I love being in the locker-room building comradery.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL, who would it be?

Joe Burrow

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  1. Jesus- Obvious
  2. Tom Brady- I would love to hear his perspective on so many different football situations and topics, and how to be the best leader possible.
  3. Elon Musk- I would love to hear advice from him in business and in life in general.
