What sets you apart from other linebackers?
Something that sets me apart from others is my versatility. Being able to move to inside linebacker and play nickel as well.
What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
As a kid I played football but I was focused on being a basketball player because all my friends played. I started to fall in love with football my senior year of high school because basketball wasn’t working out.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments from my football life would definitely be my two years at College of the Canyons (JUCO). While I was there we won two conference championships. Another favorite football moment of mine would definitely be playing against Temple recording 9 tackles and a sack.
What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?
I bring a lot of energy, I enjoy competing against others so I do everything as hard as I can, every rep. I would say I’m a lead by example type of guy.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
The most underrated player ever played with is Ahmad Lyons. He’s a very versatile player. At Wagner he played several positions. Defensive back, running back and kick returner. Not many people are athletic enough to move around positions and be successful at it.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Fred Warner, he’s one of the best linebackers in the nfl and I would love to pick his brain on what he looks for in the film room to help him succeed.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
4-2-5 or 3-3 stack, these are my favorite defenses because you can put a lot of speed on the field at one time.
How do you prepare for games?
Leading up to gameday I watch a lot of film with my teammate, Titus Leo so I’m prepared for any scheme a team may throw at me. On gameday I like to listen to music in my headphones and chill around my teammates.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
In life I deal with challenges by making plans. Without a plan on how you’re going to accomplish something challenging things are impossible to accomplish because you’re guessing. On the field, I deal with challenges by gathering my teammates together and correcting whatever challenges us on the white board with the coaches.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would get a smart and versatile player that can move to different defensive positions to fit different schemes.
What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?
This upcoming season I’m looking forward to playing alongside my teammates, winning games and turning Wagner into the best team in the Northeast Conference.
What should we know about Tre Vallar the person?
Something people don’t know about me is, I’m very artistic, I can draw really well. I’ve actually done tattoos that I’ve designed on people. I also cut hair. I’m like the team barber at Wagner.
