What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I kind of always grew up being a bigger kid wanted to play basketball but in 4th grade I went and tried out and fell in love with football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Last year we beat our crosstown rival Augustana after we lost to them the year before, we made the playoffs in 2019 and played at Colorado School of Mines, and in high school my junior year we beat our rival and made it to the state semifinals.

What sets you apart from other offensive linemen?

I think it’s my athleticism especially in pass protection against defensively ends and when running the ball I move my feet well to be able to get guys off the ball.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I feel like I bring a lot of positivity and energy and enthusiasm that motivates our team to have a successful practice or game.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

George Kittle, because he seems like a fun loving guy and I grew up in Iowa and he was one of my favorite players.

How do you prepare for games?

By watching a lot of film throughout the week and we do a good job at Sioux Falls, our scout team does a good job of playing how we might see.

What should we know about Jackson Wright the person?

I feel like I’m a pretty laid back guy off the field I like to hang out with my teammates and play alot of golf when it’s warm out.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

Outside zone or wide zone, I feel like that scheme uses my athleticism well and allows me to get to the 2nd level to make blocks for our running backs.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I feel like I have a really great support system from friends to family to coaches and always ask them for help when I have a problem.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They would get a hard working guy who takes his craft seriously and comes to the facility prepared for anything that is thrown my way.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to one last ride with my teammates I’ve played with a long time and win a NSIC conference championship and make it to the playoffs and win a national championship.

If there was a billboard with 5 of your traits on it which 5 traits would be up there?

Reliable, trustworthy, positive, knowledgeable and hardworking.
