What makes you a top prospect at your position  in the 2023 NFL Draft?

What makes me a top prospect is that I can fit into any scheme. I am able to play all positions and have the potential to excel at them all. I can play man or zone coverage with many techniques which helps when going against different types of receivers. I’ve played with adversity all my life, so I always had a chip on my shoulder. Now in 2022 since I have a chance to play both ways the sky’s the limit!

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

At the age of 8 I started playing football. I looked up to my older brother who played first and also my cousin Antonio Morrison who played for the University of Florida.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

That I don’t give up on anything. Never have and never will. I have been through a lot of obstacles in life and overcame everything. Playing undersized all my life always seemed to turn heads away, until they saw my play on the field. I’ve played almost every position on the football field since the age of 8 and found my love for Corner.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

I would want to start my own charity foundation to help the homeless always have a hot meal to eat and endless resources to have. I’ve already done a fundraiser for the Room at the Inn homeless shelter and raised over $300. I have a huge passion for helping others and I would love to keep that going throughout time.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

The best advice I have gotten was always expect the unexpected. It taught me to be prepared for any situation that may come my way. I have to be able to make adjustments to situations that may be uncomfortable for me at first and make being uncomfortable comfortable.

Who was your childhood hero?

A childhood hero of mine is my dad. He has been there since day 1. He taught me the game and continues to push me to be the best version of me. I could not have accomplished the things I have without him.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

The most underrated teammate on my team is Tavion Mccarthy. He is an extremely hard worker and one of the smartest athletes I know. He understands what it takes mentally and physically to get to the next level.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

My biggest pet peeve is lazy people! I like to be around people who are motivated and always stay on track of their priorities.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

The hardest moment I have ever overcome was getting a scholarship pulled from me in highschool. I was invested into a school and was about to visit and committed and it was pulled. Life hit hard that day knowing my options were getting low and I did not know if I was going to play football in college. While times were hard I kept faith and at the last moment a school called me and I was able to continue to keep furthering my athletic career. It was a blessing in disguise because without that I would not be the player I am today.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

My coaches are the ones who made me feel the most comfortable while being in school. They have treated me with the utmost respect and always kept their word with anything they promised. The people in the marquette area are the nicest in the world. With the area not being as diverse it may seem like an issue, but they are so welcoming it feels as a place of comfort.

What is your favorite snack food?

A favorite snack food that I would enjoy is Ice Cream. I’ve loved ice cream since I was a kid and still continue to enjoy it today.

What is the best part of football?

The best part of football is that you can never be comfortable. It is always something new! New players, new techniques, new schemes, and etc. You can never be content with anything you do. There is always room for improvement and that is what sets apart the good from the great.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

I am a natural leader and a connoisseur for accomplishing my goals.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

I love to say Kenny Moore ll. He is a slot corner who plays bigger than his size. I may be slightly bigger than him, but we play a lot alike. He makes plays that do not show up on the stat sheet. His coverage skills are great and he is not afraid to show up in the run. He also came from a small school which is why I am always rooting for him because he opened doors for players like myself.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Michael Morrison (Grandfather)- I did not get to spend that much time with him as a young child. He named me when I was a baby which will always be special to me. He passed away when I was 4 and he never got to see me play or anything I accomplished. I wish we could sit down and recap all the moments I would love to share with him. I know he is looking down proud.

Kenny Moore II (Cornerback for Colts)- Just to have someone talk to me on their experiences and how they overcame them. Since we are so similar I would love to hear his background and how he made it so far to become who he is.
