Star high school football player gunned down in front of an Elementary School Field Trip
An Elementary School Field Trip sounds like a great way to end a school year. 79 young students were taken to Rialto Park in California on June 1st, and were enjoying their time when a former star high school football player was gunned down and killed.
The man killed was Daniel Dexter a former Athlete of the Week who was a star wide receiver at Silverado High School in Victorville, California.
Dexter died Wednesday after an argument between two groups of basketball players at Alec Fergusson Park, in Rialto, led to gunfire. He was 22.
The crazy thing is there were 79 elementary school students in the park during this incident. Another person was shot in this incident as well. It was an 18-year-old student. Not one of the students was injured in the shooting, but unfortunately, the star former football player Dexter was shot and killed.
Please keep the Dexter family in your prayers during this tough time.
