What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2023 NFL Draft?
– What makes me a top prospect is my heart and drive to be the best cornerback in the country. Growing up I was always undersized, so I had to work harder and faster than my competition to reach my goals.
At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?
– 7 years old
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
– NFL teams should know that I will be the hardest worker and most determined player that they’ve come across & also a great student of the game. I am a very coachable ball player and I am a quick learner.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
– I would donate to anything in regards to pediatrics because I love the youth.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
– The best advice I’ve received is that your competition is always working, so always be willing to go the extra mile to outwork your opponent.
Who was your childhood hero?
– My dad is my childhood hero.
Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?
– WR/ATH Leland Wilhoite
What is your biggest pet peeve?
– My biggest pet peeve is someone who talks too too much, I enjoy talking but someone who talks too much can become aggravating.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
– The hardest moment in my life I’ve had to overcome was losing both of my grandfathers in one year.
Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?
– My school is an HBCU & it is special to me because my parents also went to this institution. Also the history here at FAMU is rich and holds weight.
What is your favorite snack food?
– My favorite snack food is an orange
What is the best part of football?
– The best part of football is creating bonds and memories with your teammates that will last a life time.
If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?
– Tell me what you want me to do and I’ll get it done.
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?
– Chauncey Gardner
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
- I would have dinner with Marshon Lattimore who is one of my favorite cornerbacks in the league so that I can pick his brain and better my game.
- Deion Sanders (before taking the coaching job at JSU) simply because he is one of the all-time greats & I’d like to receive pointers on my craft.
- My grandfather who I miss dearly.
