Baker Mayfield to the Panthers? Talks are heating up!
According to Jonathan Jones from CBS, The Carolina Panthers have a sense of urgency to trade for veteran quarterback Baker Mayfield.
According to Jones, the Browns and Panthers talks have been ongoing. The Panthers would like to get Baker in as soon as possible to get some experience in minicamp.
Right now, the Browns do not have much interest, and they should be willing to make a deal for the former Oklahoma Sooner. If Baker is in fact traded to the Panthers, he will rejoin one of his favorite targets, Hollywood Higgins.
Higgins and Baker had a great relationship together in Cleveland and with a new start they could eventually help right the ship in Carolina.
