Police Officer is suing NFL football player Malik McDowell who beat him up while NAKED in Florida

I mean, it is not every day you hear about a law enforcement officer suing a person during an arrest, but it is happening in South Florida.
Court documents show that Deputy Nicholas Novello has filed a law suit against Malik McDowell a free agent football player in the NFL who was recently with the Cleveland Browns. If you remember correctly, McDowell was arrested for bum rushing a cop while being butt naked.
Novello said McDowell attacked him while McDowell was trying to flee from other deputies. He wrote in his complaint that McDowell ran straight into him and “landed several devastating punches upon the head and body.”
Novello’s lawsuit doesn’t detail the extent of the injuries. Novello wrote in his suit that he faces medical expenses and the loss of income. He is seeking a jury trial for a claim that will in excess of $100,000, according to court records.
McDowell, who was a defensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns, is now considered a free agent for the NFL. His one-year contract with the Browns was not renewed when it expired in March.
It sounds like the Deputy would like a little money for the incident. I mean he was bum rushed by a massive NFL man and then hit, but it is weird seeing a police officer suing.
