Florida high school football player De’mari Jackson was killed shielding his girlfriend from a bullet

De’mari Jackson was a great kid, and his final moments on this earth confirmed that.
According to the Fort Myers police department, De’mari, 16, was shot and killed trying to protect his girlfriend in a shooting.
The ninth-grader pushed the teenage girl out of the way and shielded her with his body, according to witness testimony.
De’mari wasn’t the intended target, police said. He was wounded Sunday evening, just hours after his baptism, and died at the hospital.
Another former football player at South Fort Myers High School was the killer according to reports. Please keep De’mari’s family in your prayers during this tough time.
