San Jose State Football Player turned Police Officer DeJon Packer died from Fentanyl Toxicity

Former San Jose State University football player DeJon Packer died last month when he was discovered in his home.
The 24-year-old former football player’s death is linked to substance abuse according to the police department.
His cause of death was reportedly “fentanyl toxicity.”
San Jose police said the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his cause of death, but the full details are still under investigation.
Packer rushed for 13 touchdowns and 931 yards during his collegiate career as a Spartan.
