2023 NFL Draft’s top RB Chris Rodriguez misses his court hearing | Judge sets arrest warrant aside after mishap

Chris Rodriguez from the University of Kentucky is one of the top-rated 2023 NFL Draft prospects, and he is in the news again.
A judge issued an arrest warrant for University of Kentucky football player after he failed to appear in court Friday afternoon.
Judge Denotra Gunter issued a warrant for Rodriguez’s arrest and imposed a $200 fine. Rodriguez, the team’s returning starter at running back, faces three charges operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, and no tail lamps — stemming from an arrest early Sunday morning. His arraignment was scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday.
The UK football team released a statement stating that Rodriguez’s attorneys were at fault for his non-appearance.
This is not Rodriguez’s first incident. He had another driving incident less than one year ago. He did admit to drinking a couple shots.
Rodriguez is the star running back for Kentucky and finished with 1,238 yards rushing last year with 8 touchdowns. This is definitely not great decision-making.
Update: The Judge set the warrant aside according to Matt Jones from KY Sports Radio, due to the lawyer’s mishap.
