Leaf Trading Cards is suing Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb for breaching his contract

Football Card companies have a tough job. They have to find players and pay them loads of money to sign items for them. I have worked with several football card companies over the years to help players land their own trading card.
While many guys fulfill their contracts, it sounds like CeeDee Lamb the Cowboys wide receiver did not fulfill his contract obligations and is now being sued in court by the owner of Leaf.
Leaf CEO Brian Gray shared a statement on Twitter.
“Leaf has filed the first ever lawsuit against an athlete in order to compel the completion of an autograph contract so customers holding redemptions are not forced to take replacements,” Gray wrote. “We hate doing this, but customers need defending here.”
The lawsuit is seeking damages and attorney fees against Lamb. I understand the complaints from Gray, as an avid football card collector, you would be pissed if you had a redemption card for CeeDee Lamb and he never completed his end of the deal. Meaning you have a piece of card that is worth nothing because you will never get that Lamb autograph.
Gray is a great guy, I bet he did not want to do this, but I have to agree with him, you have to defend your customers as well.
