Man convicted of killing former Buffalo Bills grandfather died in prison

Chris Kelsay was a solid football player in the National Football League. Both Chris and his brother Chad had suffered a huge loss when their grandfather Tennyson Kelsay was gunned down back in 1999 in the parking lot of a shopping center.
The man responsible for killing their grandfather was Russell Harms. Harms spent 22 years in prison before dying in prison this week.
Russell Harms died in the Nebraska prison system’s Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln on Monday, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said. in a news release. Harms was 64.
According to SFgate.com, Harms was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison after his trial judge rejected his insanity defense, despite Harms having been diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic with a long history of failed medications and hospitalizations.
