Western Kentucky football player arrested for first-degree strangulation in a domestic violence case

The 6-1, 270 pounder grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining landed at Western Kentucky and is already in the news.

Lorenzo Hernandez a defensive lineman at WKU, was arrested after an assault investigation led police to believe that Hernandez hurt a female via strangulation.

Hernandez, 23, was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury and intimidating a participant in the legal process.

The 6-1, 270 pounder is a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining landed at Western Kentucky and is already in the news.

Hernandez transferred from Monmouth where he was a force on their defensive line. Hernandez was suspended from the team Indefinitely.
