Colin Kaepernick is willing to be a back-up quarterback, will an NFL team give him a shot?
Colin Kaepernick just wants an opportunity to play football again. He sat down with Chad Johnson, Adam “Pacman” Jones and Brandon Marshall on “I Am Athlete“, after a workout in Weston, Florida and he told Marshall he would be willing to be a back-up.
Do you think he will get another shot?
Will a team ever bring him in even as a back-up?
Marshall asked Kaepernick if he’d be willing to take a role similar to Carmelo Anthony in the NBA … where the Future Hall of Famer signed for the veteran’s minimum (about $2.6 million) to play a minimized role with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Colin said he is willing to come in and be a back-up but knows he will not be the back-up for long.
“I know I have to find my way back in. So, if I have to come in as a backup, that’s fine,” Kaepernick told the guys.
“But that’s not where I’m staying. And when I prove that I’m a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door.”
I think the NFL should allow him to try his hand already. Give him a shot, if he can make it amen, if not cut him and move on. What do you think?
