If we are talking about underrated players, it would be hard to find someone better than Anthony Alonzo out of Oakland, California. Tech happens to be the same school that produced the great Marshawn Lynch (Beastmode) and Anthony looks to be the next great player to represent the bulldogs. Alonzo is a do-it-type of athlete who makes everyone around him better. For starters, he is a blazer with breakaway speed once in the open field. He showcased that by going 98 yards on a run in which he went untouched. He also brings great vision and agility. His tape constantly shows him making defenders miss as he utilizes his elite shiftiness. While he made his mark on offense by rushing for over 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns, coaches also love him on defense as well. Alonzo had 4 interceptions as he showed his ability to excel in man and zone coverage. He has a tendency to make acrobatic interceptions while also coming up and laying players out with his hard-hitting ability. His junior year tape is quite impressive and should definitely be attracting more attention as college coaches start to see it. One thing people should note is that he did this all on natural talent and athleticism up to this point. He comes from a basketball background and is mainly focused and trained for the hardwood. Now that his focus is completely on football, his senior year is going to be crazy and expectations will be huge as he is quite the talent.
