Every year on NFL Draft Diamonds leading up to the NFL Draft, we give certain YouTube Channels a shoutout for the great work they do. Today I am giving Couch Potato General Manager a shoutout for his draft coverage and breakdown of the film. As polarizing a first-round prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft. Andrew Booth is one of the most intriguing players in the entire draft class let alone the cornerback position. His unique blend of athleticism, ball skills, and competitiveness lead me to believe that with a little refinement he could end up being the top corner in the class when it’s all said and done. Detractors will point to some “rawness” in his game and inexperience but our Andrew Booth film study as reflected in this “5 Play” Scouting Report suggests that he not only possesses the physical traits to play one of the most unforgiving positions in the NFL but the mental processing and awareness to excel at CB. Certainly, if you’ve watched Andrew Booth’s highlights you’ll find a litany of spectacular interceptions and demonstrations of athletic feats. The Andrew Booth vs video won’t include a ton of man-to-man coverage but if you look a little closer you’ll find a young cornerback who possesses the traits necessary to play man coverage, excels in zone coverage, and relishes the opportunity to set a physical edge. NFL Mock Drafts to date have Andrew Booth being selected typically between the 12th and 25th overall picks in the 1st round; which I would agree with. Booth has been somewhat of an afterthought during the pre-draft process as he’s undergone surgery for a sports hernia but I can’t imagine a scenario where he’s not selected among the first 32 picks in this pass-happy league.
