NFL Draft Prospect Adam Anderson indicted and charged with rape by grand jury
Adam Anderson, who was once considered a potential first-round choice in this week’s NFL draft, has an arraignment scheduled for June 13.
Georgia’s standout linebacker Adam Anderson has been charged with raping a 21 year old woman in Athens, Georgia.
According to an Athens-Clarke County Police Department incident report, the woman told police that she went to a house between midnight and 7 a.m. on Oct. 29. After having drinks, the woman said, she woke up while Anderson was raping her. She reported it to the police that day. Another woman came forward as well saying she too was assaulted.
The 6’5 outside linebacker was considered a top 5 outside linebacker prospect by Mel Kiper Jr., before his arrest. Anderson has met with over 15 teams and has been training in Florida.
He will likely fall out of the NFL Draft with this news.
