Towson Tigers star running back Kobe Young dead at the age of 23
Towson Tigers football team is mourning the loss of running back Kobe Young. Young was a senior running back that passed away at his home over the weekend. There is no cause of death at the moment.
Young was a 6’0 running back with good speed and agility. He weighed 190 pounds, and had a pretty solid career at Towson. He was a return man, caught passes out of the slot, and was a very solid running back.
The Winston-Salem, North Carolina native was a special person according to his coach Rob Ambrose.
“When he walked into a room, or your life, the brilliance of that room, that moment, changed,” the coach said. “It changed with his smile. Kobe’s smile illuminated our world. It was a smile that when shared with you, showed he was sharing the honest purity of his heart, with you. The warmth of that smile like standing in the warm sun.”
Young was solid back in 2018 when he rumbled for 455 yards and scored three touchdowns. Last year, Kobe scored a touchdown against Morgan State and rumbled for 39 yards. It is such a sad day, he was so young.
Please keep the Young family in your prayers and please lift up the Towson football team.
