Former Lackawanna College football player Jatavis Scott shot and killed in Pennsylvania Night Club
Jatavis Scott was a speed burner. The slot wide receiver from Mississippi had dreams of becoming an NFL player. He graduated high school back in 2016 and would travel all the way to Pennsylvania to play college football at Lackawanna College.
While at Lackawanna College he would run into some financial problems, and have to leave the school to attend Monroe College in New York to improve his life and still follow his dreams. He was in the midst of doing this when he was shot and killed this weekend.
Officers were dispatched to Club Twenty3, following a report of a fight. While on the way, officers learned that shots had been fired and that one person, 25-year-old Jatavis D. Scott, had been struck.
Scott was driven in a private vehicle to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Scott was originally from Alligator, Mississippi. His older brother was shot and killed in March of last year, which is so horrible for the family.
We please ask that you please pray for the Scott family and all his friends today. Please lift them up.
